Favorite Books

This page is going to be on my top 10 fav books with pics , all though i have some long term favs it will probably change as I read more and more books.

1# My first place would have to go to Philip Pullman's HIS DARK MATERIALS trilogy. Technically this is more than 3 books but since they all all my favourite, all the same story and all brilliant I only thought it fair to give them joint 1st place.

2nd Place would be JK Rowling's Harry Potter  books, again even though this is 7 books they are all the same story and i loved them. no matter how many times i read them they never got any less exiting or thrilling!

3rd place goes to J.L Carrell's Shakespeare Secret. "A modern serial killer- hunting an ancient secret" Even though this book was a little confusing as i first read it a couple of years a go the mystery made me keep reading and it was definetly worth it!

4th place is The Hobbit by J.R.R Tolkien. A very imaginative exiting adventure set in another land, this book made me cry but i couldn't stop reading.

5th place goes to Charlie Higson's The Dead. I had to read this book for my school book trust in 2010 and i voted it my favorite book. Even though it didn't win the prize, i think it was the best book

6th place goes to Layrinth by Kate Mosse. When i first started reading this book it was all VERY confusing because it is set in 2 different time zones: 1209 and 2005. But then i got to know the characters ans their stories and the book quickly became addictive.

7th place goes to Ingo by Helen Dunmore. Since i live in Portugal i go swimming in the sea all the time I think Helen Dunmore describes Ingo very well. I love these kind of books and I think Ingo is joint with the second book Tide Knot, I havent read her third book but am looking forwards to it.

8th place would have to be Eragon by Christopher Paolini. I saw the movie before reading the book but that didn't make it any less enjoyable since it was quite different to the film.

9th place goes to Clan of the Cave Bear by Jean M.Auel This book was quite different to anything i've read before and I absolutely loved it and carried on to read the rest of Jean M.Auel's brilliant long series.

10th place is LionBoy buy Zizou Corder. I read this book a long time ago but haven't forgotten the story and love the idea of Charlie being able to communicate with the cat family.

This is my top 10 so far but I'll keep adding more and if you think any more books deserve to be on my list please leave a comment.
